Romance and Honesty: Irving Gill’s Vision for The Bishop’s School

Romance and Honesty: Irving Gill’s Vision for The Bishop’s School

On October 29, the public is invited to visit The Bishop's School campus for the student-curated exhibition "Romance and Honesty: Irving Gill's vision for The Bishop's School," which highlights Irving Gill's inspiration for the architectural design of Scripps Hall (1910), Bentham Hall (1912) and Gilman Hall (1917) - the largest collection of buildings designed by Gill for education. This public event will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Manchester Library & Learning Center, where there will be a display of blueprints. While on campus tours, visitors will see didactic text panels focusing on specific features of Gill’s architecture and the history of the School.
