Frequently Asked Questions:
Advertising

Do we need to provide our own ad or does Blue Book produce an ad for us?

It is entirely up to you! Blue Book has a skilled art department that will create your entire ad for you at no additional charge. You can submit logos, photos, fonts and any design ideas or just leave it up to the art department to produce a stunning ad that you will love. You will have total control in making changes to the proof until it is perfect.

If you already have a completed ad or would rather work with your own graphic designer, that is OK too.

What makes the La Jolla Blue Book different from the county-wide Yellow Pages?

The La Jolla Blue Book sets itself apart because it is localized. Our book is focused on the community of La Jolla with a recognizable, local photograph on the cover and residents being able to personalize their listings. The La Jolla Blue Book is an easy-to-use resource that residents can quickly find and support local businesses.

In addition, if you take a look at the county-wide yellow pages, you will notice that it is jam-packed with ads and small text that can be hard to read and find what you are looking for. With the La Jolla Blue Book's large text and single-column format, our books are much easier to read and navigate. We give our advertisers much more respected ad space allowing their business to be featured in a much cleaner way and help each business stand out from the rest.

There are also several distribution points located throughout La Jolla where residents can pick up a copy for free or they can contact Blue Book directly and request a book.
