About Spreckels Organ Pavilion

The Spreckels Organ Pavilion is located in the heart of Balboa Park and is home to the the largest outdoor pipe organ in the world, the Spreckels Organ. John D. and Adolph Spreckels donated the organ to the city of San Diego in 1914. Since 1917, a civic organist has performed free weekly Sunday concerts. The organ contains 4,530 pipes all ranging in length, some the size of a pencil all the way up to 32 feet tall. Catch one of the many free concerts offered at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion throughout the year.
