About Shell Beach and Seal Rock
Shell Beach is located between The Children’s Pool and Boomer Beach. This is the perfect beach for small children to collect shells and explore the tide pools at low tide. Snorkeling is perfect to explore the reefs below just off shore. This beach is less crowded than others in La Jolla which makes more room for adventure throughout the area. Seen from the beach is Seal Rock which is a large offshore rock where the California Sea Lions like to gather. Families can have fun while learning at Shell Beach while also getting to observe the cute, vocal sea lions.
