About Mark D Breese DMD
Dr. Mark Breese is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who practices a full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his dental training at Boston University, and his oral surgery training from Naval Medical Center San Diego as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy. He provides a variety of procedures for our patients here at Torrey Pines Dental Arts which include: removing wisdom teeth, placing dental implants, bone grafting, trauma, cosmetics, and orthognathic surgery. As an Oral Surgeon he is trained in general anesthesia providing sedation for surgical procedures.
Dr. Breese is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Association. Upon graduating dental school in 2004 he began serving his country in the United States Navy. He completed a General Practice Residency program at Naval Medical Center San Diego where he developed a love for oral surgery working side by side some of the best oral surgeons in the country. After a two-year tour with the Marines at Cherry Point, NC he began his oral surgery training back in San Diego, graduating in 2011. He served as the only Oral Surgeon aboard the USS Carl Vinson for two-years. Dr. Breese is currently the Department Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and continues his active duty service as he transitions to private practice.
Dr. Breese was born and raised in Centerville, Utah. He enjoyed playing competitive sports throughout his life. In high school he played basketball, baseball, soccer, and golf. In college he played soccer for Weber State University’s soccer club. He served a two-year mission for his church in Tampa, Florida. He is happily married and really enjoys spending time with his five children. Dr. Breese has 3 girls and 2 boys, which are the pride and joy and greatest accomplishments of his life. Other than family and sports he really enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, mountain/road biking, fishing, and anything else outdoors.
