About Black’s Beach

Black’s Beach was once known for being the largest nude beach in the United States. Although nudity was officially banned at this secluded, bathing suit-optional beach years ago, the law hasn't stopped the more daring sunbathers. It is more known now to surfers as being one of the best beach break spots in Southern California. Black’s Beach is one of the most difficult beaches to reach because of its steep trails leading down from the bluffs. While these provide excellent views and give the beach its own character, getting in and out is not a simple task. Nonetheless, Black’s beach has the perfect combination of swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and even a little hiking.
