La Jolla Restaurants Serving Quality Beer & Delicious Food

Nothing caps off a long, relaxing day at the beach than a refreshing beer with dinner. La Jolla brewpubs offer delicious food and quality beer, items perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Come and unwind with a cold brew at a nearby La Jolla brewpub.

The Public House located in downtown La Jolla is a popular hangout spot for locals. La Jolla residents flock to this La Jolla restaurant and brewpub for its large selection of international and local beers, with over 30 on tap and 200 bottles. This brewpub is inside a red, two story 1904 historic La Jolla home, making it hard to miss. Diners can enjoy close company amongst friends in the cozy indoor dining area or relax in the more spacious outdoor patio area. The Public House offer specials every Tuesday and Wednesday nights, as well as on the weekends. Beer enthusiasts who want to sample all the many beers available at the Public House can sign-up for the brewpub's 80 beers in 80 day club. As a reward for their dedication to trying different beers, when customers drink 80 beers in 80 days, they are eligible to be entered into a drawing for an international brewery destination tour trip.

On the east side of La Jolla is the Rock Bottom Brewery. Families and large parties love the spacious layout of this La Jolla restaurant. Customers can relax watching their favorite team play on TV in the extensive bar area or have a filling, delicious dinner with the family in the dining area. For special occasions and private parties, semi- and fully private rooms are available which can accommodate between 10 and 200 diners. The brewpub features many beers on tap to go along with its long list of diverse menu items.

Another well-known San Diego brewpub with a restaurant in La Jolla is the Karl Strauss Brewery. Walking in the doors, diners can see the onsite microbrewery which yields a revolving selection of seasonal local brews. Every Thursday night Karl Straus diners can enjoy a rotating selection of cask beers-those that undergo a second fermentation process which yields smoother beers with more developed flavors. Located in downtown La Jolla by the Hotel Parisi, this well-established brewpub also provides guests with free 2 hour validated parking.

If after your delicious beer, you find yourself still hungry or are looking for additional dining options, be sure to check out the other fine restaurants in La Jolla.
