Hotel Del Coronado Oktoberfest
Sept 25 – Oct 4 The Hotel Del Coronado Oktoberfest takes place on Hotel Del’s Sun Deck from 11:30 am – 6 pm. Admission, a gorgeous beach view and live music are free! Children’s activities include bean bag toss and cookie decorating. A wide range of traditional appetizers, sides, grilled meats, and beers will be available for purchase a la carte. Don’t miss the traditional firkin tappings Saturday and Sunday!
El Cajon Oktoberfest
Oct 2 – 4, 9 – 11 The El Cajon Oktoberfest covers two weekends worth of fun! Join local German American societies for live music performances by the famed international band Guggenhaum-Buach, folk dancing, games and contests. There’s something for everyone with a variety of vendor and craft booths and children’s activities. Both weekends have hours of Fridays 4 – 10 pm, Saturdays 12 – 10 pm, and Sundays 12 – 9 pm.
La Mesa Okbtoberfest
Oct 2 – 3 The La Mesa Oktoberfest gets bigger and better every year! You might have to navigate some friendly crowds, but it’s worth it for the fantastic food, beer, dancing and music. Don’t forget to check out all the vendor booths selling traditional and contemporary crafts.
University City Oktoberfest
Oct 10 The University City Oktoberfest at Standley Park is not only a family festival but a benefit for UC schools. 100% of proceeds from the local brews biergarten goes straight to EdUCate programs. There’ll be games for all ages (including a special Principal’s Challenge) and a home brew contest this year. Stop by between 2 – 6pm.
Ocean Beach Oktoberfest Brat Trot
Oct 10 If you’re interested in getting some exercise during your beer and sausage filled weekend, Ocean Beach puts on a Brat Trot on Saturday, Oct. 10 to benefit local youth sports. Choose between 2K Family Fun Run ($25 entry) or 5K ($30 entry) along a beautiful beach. Try your hand at a prize for best costume!
Oct 17 – 18 Part of Apple Days, the Julian Oktoberfest takes place at Rabobank parking lot on Main Street. San Diego Chamber of Commerce has the event listed for Oct 17 – 18. Enjoy scenic Julian, and don’t forget to pick up a few pies with your German fare!
