Patrick Ness – The Crane Wife
When: Monday, January 27th – 7:30PM
What: Join award-winning author Patrick Ness as he discusses his most recent novel, The Crane Wife. Ness will also be signing copies of the book during the event. To reserve your seat, call Warwick’s at (858) 454-0347 to purchase.
When: Twice Daily Cruises: 9:30AM-1:00PM & 1:30PM-5:00PM
Where: Hornblower Cruises & Events
What: We are right in the middle of San Diego’s famous whale watching season! Take advantage of our cities’ seaside location and take the entire family for a fun filled day on the ocean! Catch whales, dolphins, sea lions, sea birds, and a plethora of other marine sea creatures on your excursion. Tickets range from $38-$43.
National Kazoo Day
When: Tuesday, January 28th – 12:00PM
Where: Seuss Room, Geisel Library, University of California San Diego
What: Calling all Dr. Seuss fans! Head on over to the Giesel Library at the University of California San Diego to sort through fascinating kazoo literature and a collection of kazoos that are decades old from many countries. While you’re there, pick up a free kazoo! The exhibit is free to the public and reservations are not required.
Chu Chu The Dragon
When: Thursday, January 31st – 10:00AM
Where: Marie Hitchcock Puppet Theater, Balboa Park
What: Celebrate Chinese New Year with your children by taking them to see Chu Chu The Dragon! This lively puppet show combines chinese folk tales, an evil Dragon, and audience participation for a fun and festive show! Admission ranges from $5-$6 and children 2 & under are free.
