“Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!” Exhibit
What: A selection of original drawings and documents from the personal archive of beloved children’s author, Theodor Seuss Geisel.
When:The exhibit will kick off today, Feb. 17 and will be on display until March 21.
Where: Main floor of Geisel Library, UC San Diego, 9500 Gilman Dr., La Jolla.
Warwick’s Cheese Concierge: February 2014
What: Warwick’s and Venissimo Cheese present The Cheese Concierge featuring 3 Dessert Cheeses: $25 (approximately 1 lb total). Athenaeum Music & Arts Library Chamber Concert: Sarah Chang
What: Violinist Sarah Chang is recognized as one of the world’s great violinists. Since her debut with the New York Philharmonic at the age of eight, she has performed with the greatest orchestras, conductors, and accompanists internationally, in a career spanning more than two decades. Ticket prices are $45 for a member or $50 non-member.
When: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.

Foodie Fridays – La Jolla Playhouse
What: Theatergoers with a love for beer and delicious eats are invited to attend Foodie Fridays. Grab a bite to eat and enjoy a performance of The Who & The What by Ayad Akhtar or Blueprints to Freedom: An Ode to Bayard Rusin by Michael Benjamin Washington. Ticket prices range from $15-$57 and doesn’t include the cost of food.
When: 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21.
