  1. My boyfriend and I love to pack a picnic and hike the beach trail at Torrey Pines down to the secluded beach. There’s hardly ever anyone there and the enormous cliffs and brilliant ocean make you feel like you’re in a big envelope with the person you love 🙂 and the best part is…it’s free. The best things in life are!

  2. My favorite romantic sport in La Jolla is at the Regents Plaza (at La Jolla village dr), on the park that is near the bridge that connects the plaza with UTC Westfield mall. It is a beautiful place where you can sit with your true love to watch the beauty of the daily life while you sit in the grass and share a panini with a coffee or a bottle of wine. And in the night, you get a full and romantic view of the sky and the stars.

  3. I was born in La Jolla… so there are several romantic spots that hold special memories for me. But I think one of the best ones is the little hut at the Cove part. I remember setting up a sunset dinner for my boyfriend and I back when I was in high school. It was really nice to eat right there and then go on a walk. 🙂 I am looking forward to checking out the location mentioned by Eric!

  4. The cover where you can sit down and think while listening to the waves splashing against the rocks and looking at the lovely sunset with its vibrant colors.

  5. Reading these entries, I clearly haven’t spent enough time exploring LaJolla. My husband and I love the beach, especially Torrey Pines. There is nothing more romantic to me than enjoying an ocean sunset with the one I love.

  6. My favorite romantic spot is right on Coast Blvd – Scripps Park. There’s also the newly opened Pantai Inn hotel on the corner of Coast Blvd & Ocean Ln – it’s a great location for watching the sunsets while sitting in front of the fireplace!

  7. My favorite place is the Valencia Hotel La Jolla… nothing is more romantic than brunch and mimosas for 2 while watching the waves come up so close!

  8. We actually take a specific route along the coast when we drive through La Jolla. Our favorite spot is when we drive down the hill toward the Scripps pier. The view is always amazing.

  9. My favorite Romantic place in La Jolla is near the path, right behind the Cave Store. If you continue down the bike path, overlooking the beautiful rocks and water, you come to a wooden bridge. Just under the bridge, is a strong and magnificent rope about 20 feet long. This rope will help you climb down to a secluded area on the beach, where you have nothing else, but the wonderful sound of the ocean, the great view of one of the nicest places in San Diego, and the company, of your true love.

  10. My favorite romantic restaurant is at The Shores at the Shores. There are a lot of great places of course, but this has a special place in my heart.
