The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library is now accepting registrations for its summer kids art camps, which includes four children’s workshops for ages 7-14. The classes start June 29 and end July 10 and vary in subject but generally focus on painting, print making, drawing, and ceramics. Each workshop is limited to 12 students, so be sure and sign up early if you’re interested!
The soundON Festival of Modern Music, presented by San Diego New Music and The Athenaeum, is an annual festival that showcases music by young and emerging composers alongside the visionary masters of the 20th century. The Festival will feature unconventional works in an informal and enjoyable setting at The Athenaeum, as well as a series of interactive workshops for younger music and art aficionados. Now in its eighth year, the soundON Festival has become an important fixture in the musical landscape of San Diego.
