Movember Turns LJHS Hairy


Movember has officially taken effect at La Jolla High School. Long beards, untamed mustaches, and hairy legs are noticeably visible in the hallways of campus. As the most popular unofficial school event, Movember is a way to help raise cancer awareness. By ‘unofficial’, we mean that there are no sponsored posters or bulletin announcements promoting the event. It has grown in popularity by word of mouth and on social media. Students, teacher, and faculty can all participate and enjoy watching schoolmates turn from nicely groomed humans, into unkempt mammals. You can expect to see teenage boys becoming more hairy then they already are, teenage girls showing off their extremely hairy legs, and male faculty members starting to look more like lumberjack men than teachers.
