Saturday, April 21

Walk MS: San Diego
8 a.m., NTC Park (Liberty Station)

Each year, the walk to end multiple sclerosis raises funds to help those with MS. This is a free community walk with different levels comfortable for different needs.

Spring Food Truck Festival & Vintage Market
9 a.m. (Vintage Market) and 11 a.m. (Food Truck Festival), Bates Nut Farm

Get excited, foodies! You will have a large collection of delish food trucks at North County’s Bates Nut Farm at 11 a.m. Saturday for the Spring Food Truck Festival. The event highlights concoctions from What’s Cookin’ BBQ, Haad Sai Thai, Epic Eatz and more.. The Charly and Calico Ridge band will play 12 to 3 p.m. each day of the art festival.

Sunday, April 22nd

EarthFair 2018 
10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Balboa Park

Celebrate National Earth week in Balboa Park. An estimated 60,000 guests are expected to attend the environmental fair’s 29th year in San Diego.Exhibitors will share tips on how to live more sustainable. Music, crafts, games are all a part of this free event.

Guided Nature Walk
9:30 a.m., Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to get outside! Take a free guided 1.5 hour nature walk from Mission Trails Regional Park. Along the way you’ll learn about animals, plants, and history of this park in San Diego.

Taste of Hillcrest
12 to 4 p.m., Hillcrest

Foodies rejoice! The annual “Taste of Hillcrest” is here! With a $30 ticket ($35 day of) to Taste of Hillcrest, guests can enjoy signature dishes from more than 35 of Hillcrest’s popular restaurants. Get your appetite ready!

Moonlight Family Movie Night: ‘The Princess Bride’
7:30 p.m., Moonlight Amphitheatre

It’s movie night! Grab some friends and a blanket and head over to Moonlight Amphitheatre for an outdoor movie night. They will be playing the classic 1987 movie, “The Princess Bride.” Tickets range from $5 for lawn seating (lawn chairs provided) to $10 for orchestra seating. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. but the theater will open at 6 p.m.

Sunday, April 15th

Beyond the Score: Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27
2 p.m., Copley Symphony Hall

Get dressed up, and enjoy a night out at the symphony! This series of multimedia concerts showcase performances such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s final piano concerto. Don’t miss this truly unique experience. Tickets start at $25.

South Bay Earth Day
11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Chula Vista Marina at Bayside Park

Come celebrate mother Earth! This South Bay festival is one of the largest Earth Day Events in the region. Learn about how we impact the environment, and how you can live greener. Activities for the day include yoga classes, an oil change and free recycling kits.

La Jolla Concours D’Elegance
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

La Jolla and La Jolla Motor Car Classic returns to the Cove April 6 – 8, 2018 featuring 300+ spectacular vehicles situated along the Pacific Ocean.

Sip ‘n Savor Fest
12 to 4 p.m., Hard Rock Hotel

Enjoy food and drinks from local restaurants, breweries and, and live music from great bands. It’s only $45 a ticket to the Sip ‘n Savor Festival, and guests will be able to sample 10 creations by local chefs, including Chef Ashley Kato of JSix and Chef Andy Weiss of The Smoking Gun.

Weekend Events: March 24th & 25th

Saturday, March 24th: 

San Diego Crew Classic
7:20 a.m. to 5 p.m. (3:30 p.m. Sunday), Crown Point Shores Park
Get ready to row, or get ready to watch the rowers do their thing! More than 4,000 athletes will be in San Diego for this annual two-day rowing competition. Tickets are $12 per day ticket, or $15 at the door.

Spring Eggstravaganza
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday), The Birch Aquarium
It’s springtime! Celebrate in a big way with the arrival of spring with the Birch Aquarium’s animals of the sea. You will have chance to explore different types of animal eggs, participate in crafts and an “underwater” egg hunt. Tickets for the Spring Eggstravaganza are free with an $18.50 adult or $14 child admission ticket.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and San Diego is the place to be. Whether you want a weekend full of St. Paddy’s activities or other events, we have you covered!

Saturday, March 17th:

ShamROCK
4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Gaslamp Quarter

Get your green on, and get ready to celebrate the ShamROCK Saint Patrick’s Day Party at Gaslamp. Blocks will be closed downtown, and three separate DJs will be performing on three different stages. You can anticipate so Irish celebrations, including Celtic performers, Irish dancers. Tickets are $55 or $100 for VIP, which includes complimentary drinks and more.

35th Annual San Diego Cake Show
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday), The Del Mar Fairgrounds

Do you have a sweet tooth? Well, you’re in luck! The 35th, Annual San Diego Cake Show is taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Come celebrate all things cake! This festival will include cake making, a cake design competition, and decorating demonstrations. Tickets are $10 ahead of time, or $12 at the door. Proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House.

Sunday, March 18th:

Tango by the Beach
5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Pacific Street Linear Park

It takes two to tango, so grab a partner and head on over to Oceanside. Tango by the Beach is  taking place at 112 The Strand South- just steps from the ocean! Don’t miss it.

Saturday, March 10th:

The San Diego Yoga Festival
Why would I want to leave San Diego this week? Namaste right here. Excuse our cheesy humor- but we have good reason! This Saturday, the good people of San Diego will will take part in a two-day beachside celebration of health at the San Diego Yoga Festival. Yoga isn’t the only health activity- you can part in other activities us as surfing and other health and wellness classes. The highlight of the festival will be mediation classes hosted by “yoga celebrities” and some of San Diego’s top instructors. Pricing varies, but a two-day ticket costs $138.

The Great Inflatable Race
9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Qualcomm Stadium
Grab the kiddos, because they’re going to love this one. They’ll be able to bounce all over the place on this obstacle course. Benefits go to Blue Star Families, an organization that supports military families who are often affected by frequent moves and transition periods.

Performances run at various times through March 4; with ticket prices varying by day.

If you’re a sucker for vintage, you will love Lucky Street Productions vintage marketplace. You’re sure to find just about every style of vintage in this large warehouse filled with treasures. Every Saturday and Sunday!

Painting by the Sea
3 p.m., Hotel Del Coronado

Just because Valentine’s Day is over doesn’t mean that the romance has to end. Head over to Hotel Del Coronado and paint by the sea! Guests will be painting the hotels red turret with heard shaped clouds. Classes are an hour and a half, and they welcome in novice to intermediate painters.

Brewbies Craft Beer Festival
1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Bagby Beer Co.

Get ready to get your brew on and support a great cause. Coming back for it’s 9th year, the Bagby Beer Co will be hosting it’s craft beer fest in Oceanside. All proceeds will go to Keep A Breast Foundation. You’ll have access to beers from more than 40 breweries, all for only $45 or $65.

Hillcrest Mardi Gras
5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Hillcrest

It’s that time of year again! Get ready for some Mardi Gras fun! The Hillcrest Business Association is gathering up the entire neighborhood for a bar-tobar Party Bus Bar Hop. Tickets are only $20 (or $25 on the day.) If you upgrade to VIP for only $10 more dollars, you’ll have access to private bars, lounges, and other special treatment. Don’t miss it!
