It may only be Monday, but at La Jolla Blue Book we believe it’s never too early to start making plans for the weekend! This Sunday, and each Sunday through Labor Day Weekend, head to the Ellen Browning Scripps Park at the La Jolla Cove for Concerts by the Sea.
La Jolla Concerts by the Sea is a tradition that has been hosted at the Scripps Park since 1984. A non-profit organization, the local community and the generosity of sponsors and donors contributes greatly to the success of this annual La Jolla event.
Each Sunday from 2pm-4pm, La Jolla residents and visitors can enjoy live music at this family friendly, free summer concert series. Individuals of all ages can dance and enjoy the summer sunshine while listening to local bands and artists, highlighting a range of musical styles.
New prizes will also be raffled off each week, including gift certificates for local activities, restaurants and resorts in La Jolla. Gather your friends and family for some beach fun and end the day with music and a picnic. There will also be a variety of concessions stands supporting the concert, offering popcorn, chips, candy, sodas and ice cream. For foodies, there will also be a few food trucks on-site, with a portion of their proceeds also supporting the concert.
So plan ahead and reserve Sunday for La Jolla Concerts by the Sea. Did you go to the event last Sunday? What was your favorite part? Share your experience with us by commenting below!
