It’s 5 O’Clock somewhere! Here are some of our favorite places to grab a cold one in La Jolla.

La Jolla Brewing Company

Some days you just wanna go, where everybody knows your name … wait, never mind the TV show refrain. If you’re considering a quality local spot that sports a fantastic ambiance, along with tasty grub and refreshing drinks to chill at the end of the work day, look no further than the La Jolla Brewing Company. You’re sure to revel in a relaxed and yet exhilarating atmosphere that permeates the restaurant. First of all, the La Jolla Brewing Company does not play around when it comes to making the highest quality craft beers. A simple stride through the welcoming doors will reveal their in-house beer selection features five signature styles: Pale Ale, IPA, Pub Ale, Dry Stout, and Brown Ale. Aye, and they also include a rotating (roll that r!) 24 tap selection of local San Diego County craft beers. In short, the La Jolla Brewing Company provides nothing short of outstanding customer service. The entire staff is knowledgeable, affable, and welcoming thus creating a stimulating and incomparable hospitality during every visit. La Jolla Brewing Company seeks to gain a prominent prestige in the midst of many of the elite breweries throughout the San Diego County area and are gaining on that bucket of gold at the end of the rainbow like nobody’s business. Be sure to head over to this pleasant neighborhood bar located on Fay Ave, between Kline and Pearl St, and right next to Rubio’s. Ya can’t miss the place, laddies and lassies!

Public House

Who’s hunrgy? The burgers and specialty ales at The Public House La Jolla your home away from home! You’d be remiss not to breeze through the friendly doors into a welcoming atmosphere to delight in their rotating taps of Belgian and German beers, local San Diego beers, as well as many difficult to locate craft beers and microbrews from all around the world. Besides a fantastic selection of bottled beers, many of which are specialty and limited release beers, locals and visitors alike are sure to find something simply amazing at The Public House La Jolla.

The Public House Bar & Grill is located in the very heart of historic La Jolla Village on Kline Street, between Fay & Eads Street.

The Rooftop La Jolla

This splendid, recently remodeled ocean view lounge provides a spirited and enjoyable atmosphere with more than a wee bit of tranquility and class that everyone can certainly enjoy. It is conveniently located on Prospect Street in the very heart of downtown La Jolla. Rooftop is acknowledged for its consummate fine dining, extraordinary live entertainment, and you have to experience to believe it, truly outstanding service. The Rooftop La Jolla is just what the doctor ordered for one and all!

And don’t forget to stop by Karl Strauss in La Jolla, or their main brewery in Pacific Beach, San Diego. St.

And as always, don’t push your luck – drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive.
