October is National Book Month!

Book lovers unite! October is National Book Month. Here in La Jolla we have many places where you can find great books. Head on over to the Ridford Library or stop by Warwick’s, DG Wills and Bauer Rare Books, some of the country’s oldest family-owned and operated bookstores. As chillier evenings are rapidly approaching, curling up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa or tea and a book is sounding quite pleasant.

According to nationalbook.org, there are so many ways to celebrate National Book Month, such as

  • book trivia
  • sending letters to authors
  • book swap meets
  • book drops

and so much more!

National Book Month is celebrated from October 1-31, so get out there and read! Interested in writing a book? Then check out the 12 Annual La Jolla Writer’s Conference on November 2-4, 2013.
