This local restaurant is a neighborhood favorite! With delicious Thai faire, it’s a place in La Jolla you must try.
What to get: One of the best deals in town is their great prefix lunch menu. For just $9 you can pick two appetizers and one entree. Famous specials include green papaya salad, shrimp lemongrass soup, and massaman curry. Prefix menu is offered Monday-Friday, 11:00am-3:00pm.
Goldfish Point Cafe

One of the best choices in La Jolla is The Sandwich Club. Located in the bottom courtyard of the Merrill Lynch building in the village, it has been a frequent lunch spot for locals and tourists alike. Everything on the menu is under $10 and the selection is huge.
What to get: Enjoy Hot Pastrami and Swiss Cheese sandwich or the Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut, and 1000 Island on Grilled Rye sandwich. In the mood for a divine burger? Take a trip over into La Jolla Shores and be sure to stop by Jeff’s Burgers. Located only 2 blocks from the world famous La Jolla Shores beach, Jeff’s Burgers is a great choice before or after a kayaking trip along the coast.
What to get: For under $10, savor one of Jeff’s famous burgers, french fries, & a large drink. Afterwards, have a scoop of ice cream, a float, or a milkshake for dessert!
