Saturday night was the closing of the 13th annual San Diego Film Festival with the world premiere of You’re Not You, a drama based on a novel by the same name and directed by George C. Wolfe. The film stars Hilary Swank, Emmy Rossum, and Josh Duhamel (who attended the screening). UPDATE (January 15, 2015): Best Actress Oscar nomination for Reese Witherspoon, and fellow co-star Laura Dern, who plays Witherspoon’s mother in the film, also snagged a Best Supporting Actress nod.
Opening night at the San Diego Film Festival kicked off by screening the anticipated film adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s memoir, Wild. Festival passes and tickets to “Variety’s Night of the Stars: A Tribute” event taking place on September 25 at the Museum of Contemporary Arts La Jolla are on sale now. Alan Arkin, Michelle Monaghan, Allison Pill and Saginaw Grant are set to receive San Diego Film Festival Honors.
