The Social Service League of La Jolla Spotlight

The Social Service League of La Jolla was incorporated in 1947.  To date, there are over 150 members volunteering in this service organization.  The Social Service League of La Jolla is a non profit public benefit corporation that has been maintaining Darlington House since 1968.  The House, named after estate owner, Sibyl Darlington, is a registered historical landmark and a magical site for weddings, reception of all kinds, concerts, parties as well as business and corporate functions. The old world charm of this venue is enhanced by the intimate gardens, flowers, courtyards and fountains in a very private villa setting.Proceeds from the Darlington House support the League House founded in 1950, where now 52 seniors who meet low income, age and health requirements are provided with secure and attractive apartments.  An evening meal is provided each tenant 5 nights a week along with a safe community based environment provided by the members of the Social Service League.
