Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. The day is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It first began in 2010 as a way to encourage people across the country to support small, local businesses; since then, it’s grown in leaps and bounds, and in 2014 an estimated $14.3 billion was spent at small independent businesses! Here are a few local La Jolla stores that will be participating this year.
They will be celebrating Small Business Saturday with a table signing featuring Shannon Kopp, author of Pound for Pound (from 1-3pm). There will also be a special Grinch storytime for the children, and lots of fun giveaways!
Start your holiday shopping at Hi Sweetheart! Enjoy 15% off your entire purchase, a free “Shop Small” canvas tote bag and snacks and champagne while you shop. This event is available online, as well – use the code “SHOPSMALL” at checkout. 9am – 6pm.
Enjoy 15% off all merchandise in their boutique on Saturday, and extra discounts on their sale items.
