Earthscape Spectacular

When: Friday Sept 25, 6pm
Where: Swami’s State Beach; 553 S. Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas
What: Bliss 101, an art gallery and fair-trade goods boutique is hosting renowned sand artist Andres Amador at Swami’s beach for a rare live-art demonstration. Amador is known for his stunning Playa Paintings and sand The evening will also include a meet-and-greet and gallery reveal at Bliss 101 at 6 p.m. Head over at noon for the live art demo and 6pmj for the meet-and-greet reception at Bliss 101.

Tour de Fat San Diego

When: Saturday Sept 26, 10am-5pm
Where: Golden Hill Park; 2590 Golden Hill Drive, San Diego 92102
What: Tour de Fat is New Belgium Brewing’s traveling celebration of all things bicycle, honoring mankind’s greatest invention! Born in Ft. Collins, Colorado to increase awareness and participation in cycling as a sustainable form of transportation, Tour de Fat has now expanded to multiple cities. Each show opens with a costumed bike parade through the city. Celebrate the power of the bike and embrace your inner cyclist!

Adams Avenue Street Fair

When: Saturday Sept 26 & Sunday Sept 27
Where: 34th and Adams Avenue, San Diego 92116
What: Southern California’s largest free two-day music festival returns to North Park! The event features multiple beer gardens and beer tastings, giant carnival rides, exotic foods and more than 350 arts and crafts booths. The Street Fair’s Craft Beer Taste offers twelve 4-ounce tastes for only $20. Four additional beer gardens are open throughout the two-day run of the street fair featuring full pour servings of San Diego’s best craft beer selection.

Oceanside Harbor Days

When: Saturday Sept 26 & Sunday Sept 27, 9am-6pm
Where: Oceanside Harbor; Oceanside, 92054
What: This weekend, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce presents Oceanside Harbor Days at the Oceanside Harbor. This two-day event will be filled with sun, sand, and surf as well as awesome activities: a sandcastle competition, live entertainment stage, arts and crafts, food booths, Nail ‘n’ Sail Competition, and more. Harbor Days is totally free to the public.

Julian Apple Days Festival

When: Saturday Sept 26 & Sunday Sept 27
Where: Menghini Winery; 1150 Julian Orchards Drive, Julian 92036
What: As part of Julian’s Apple Days Celebration, a two-day Apple Days Festival will be held September 26 & 27, 2015 at Menghini Winery featuring apple displays, music and dancing, an antique tractor display, children’s games and activities, gold panning demonstrations, a beer and wine garden, food and merchandise vendors, contests, and, of course, apple pie.

San Diego Blues Festival

When: Saturday Sept 16 & Sunday Sept 27, Noon-8pm
Where: Embarcadero Marina Park North; 400 Kettner Boulevard, San Diego
What: The two-day festival celebrates its fourth year bringing some of the best soul-soothing blues talent in the world to the San Diego Embarcadero! Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and low-backed chairs to enjoy the festivities and take in 18 musical performances on two stages featuring James Cotton, Booker T Jones, Marcia Ball, Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials and many others. All proceeds benefit the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. All ages.
