Looking for something to do this weekend? From the Encinitas Fall Festival to the Mother Goose Parade and the annual Movember Bash, San Diego has plenty of stuff going on to keep you occupied. Check out our list of the top San Diego weekend events below.
1. San Diego Movember Bash
When: Friday Nov 21, 5pm-11:45pm
Where: 804 Market St., San Diego 92101
What: Don’t miss the biggest Movember Moustache Party taking place in downtown East Village between the Convention Center and Petco Park! 2 Causes. Your ticket includes no cover to East Village’s Top 15 bars and restaurants, an epic MOpening Party at Bootlegger, complete with red carpet, photo booth and DJ, closing finale at Moonshine Flats, 3 free bites, and more. Bring your baddest beards, most majestic moustaches, and supreme soul patches to display for all to see! Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Movember USA as well as East Village’s pursuit of a new landmark sign.

2. Fall Food Truck Fest at Del Mar
When: Saturday Nov 22, 10:30am-4pm
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds; 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar 92014
What: Bring your appetite on Saturday, as some of the tastiest food on wheels comes to Del Mar for the Fall Food Truck Festival. Enjoy a variety of some of the hottest eats in Southern California as 40 food trucks are expected, all in one location, with gourmet chefs serving their eclectic bests at super prices (most items $4-$8).
3. 2014 Encinitas Fall Festival
When: Sunday Nov 23, 9am-4pm
Where: Coast Highway 101 between D and J Streets, Encinitas 92024
What: With 450+ booths to visit, plus dozens of unique downtown Encinitas retailers, the Fall Festival a perfect opportunity to get started on your holiday shopping. Enjoy music and dance performances on two stages, as well as three new additions: the Kids Zone, Dog Park and Bike Valet. Coast Highway 101 will be closed from D Street to J Street starting at 4:00 AM. There’s parking in several lots on Vulcan between D and F Streets, including City Hall and the Coaster/NCTD stations, and at Moonlight Beach.
4. Mother Goose Parade
When: Sunday Nov 23, 12pm (Mother Goose Village 9am-3pm)
Where: Ballantyne Street, El Cajon 92020
What: The largest parade in San Diego County is also the largest of its type west of the Mississippi. More than 100 colorful and exciting parade entries come from around the United States to share in the excitement that is the Mother Goose Parade. The parade entries include spectacular motorized floats, glorious marching bands and drill units, eloquent equestrians, animated clowns, performing artists, celebrities, giant helium balloons, and of course, Santa Claus.
5. Family Drop-in Day at the Museum of Art
When: Sunday Nov 23, 1pm – 3pm
Where: 1450 El Prado, San Diego 92101
What: Explore pop art! Use Model Magic and cardboard to create an indoor or outdoor scaled exhibition space to better envision small scale sculptures in a larger scale. Take everyday objects and play with textures finishes to re-imagine items in a different light. Enjoy docent-led tours, gallery games, and art projects for families to complete together. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
