The weather is beautiful and there is no shortage of things to do in San Diego! The annual Mother Goose Parade, a brand new ice skating rink at Liberty Station, and the Encinitas Fall Festival are all a part of the magic this weekend. What: Come out for the largest parade in San Diego County! Each year, the Mother Goose Parade attracts thousands of spectators to the streets of El Cajon. The more than 100 parade entries include spectacular motorized floats, glorious marching bands and drill units, equestrians, animated clowns, special characters, special guests, performing artists, giant helium balloons, and of course, Santa Claus.

Where: Liberty Station; 2640 Historic Decatur Rd., San Diego 92106
What: Ice skate outdoors at Liberty Station! Sycuan and Rady Children’s Hospital are teaming up to present Fantasy on Ice this holiday season. The brand new ice rink at Liberty Station will be open for its first skating season starting this weekend through January 2016. The rink will be open 10am-10pm Mon-Thurs and open for special late skate sessions on weekends.

Where: Little Italy Association; 710 W. Ivy St, San Diego 92101
What: Enjoy the work of local artist Randy Crawford at the Little Italy Art Show. Crawford’s collection, entitled Minor Magic, features photos from urban scenes and images worldwide from his travels. He then alters the photos using his digital work platform to create the unique look. On opening night, guests can meet Crawford and view his artwork while enjoying refreshments and small bites. The show will raise funds for Little Italy Association’s Piazza Famiglia project, a new 10,000 square-foot public space.

Where: Del Mar Racetrack, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar 92014
What: Reggae music begins at 2:30pm with Big Mountain in the Concert area west of the grandstand. Enjoy special food concessions and select brews throughout the day. Following the last race, scheduled for 4:30pm, Hours Eastly will play a short set followed by the headliner, Iration,on the Seaside Stage. The first race begins at 12:30 p.m.. Gates open at 11:00 a.m.
When: Sunday Nov 22, 9am-4pm
Where: Coast Highway 101 between D and J Streets, Encinitas 92024
What: With 450+ booths to visit, plus dozens of unique downtown Encinitas retailers, the Fall Festival is a perfect opportunity to get a head start on your holiday shopping. Enjoy the music of popular local bands in The Lumberyard Courtyard, take the little ones to the Kids Zone, and sample food and drink from 40+ local restaurants/bars.
