Lodge at Torrey Pines’ James Beard Foundation Event

When: Friday May 29 – Sunday May 31
Where: The Lodge at Torrey Pines; 11480 N. Torrey Pines Rd., La Jolla 92037
What: The Lodge has partnered with the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour for an exclusive family style farm-to-table culinary event. The weekend package will showcase San Diego’s best produce, California wines, and special guests, Beau MacMillan and Carrie Nahabedian. Experience an elite Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner prepared by celebrity chefs, taste superb California wines, and relax to live entertainment.

FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival

When: Friday May 29 – Sunday May 31
Where: Observatory North Park; 2891 University Ave., San Diego 92104
What: FilmOut San Diego’s 17th Annual LGBT Film Festival will take place from May 29-31. Over thirty films will be screened during the three-day film festival; eighteen films will have their premiere along with award-winning films from both the Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals, along with independent features and a variety of short films. Q&A’s will follow many films with director and cast members in attendance.

36th Annual Fiesta Del Sol

When: Saturday May 30 & Sunday May 31, 9am-9pm
Where: Fletcher Cove Beach Park; 111 South Sierra Ave., Solana Beach 92075
What: Don’t miss the 36th Annual Celebration of Fiesta del Sol – Solana Beach’s official kick-off to summer! There will be live music throughout the two day event, including local community talent, as well as an expansive Children’s Area with games and activities.  Food Trucks along with other great specialty food vendors will be on the scene, plus an Arts & Crafts area and a wine and beer garden.

International Paella & Wine Festival

When: Saturday May 30, 12pm-6pm
Where: 200 Marina Park Way, San Diego 92101
What: Indulge in the foodie’s dream: unlimited tastings of paella and wine on the Bayfront at San Diego’s first ever International Paella & Wine Festival. Chefs from across the globe will compete for the “Best Paella in the Baja-California Region,” while wineries from Baja California and Napa/Sonoma and local craft breweries offer their finest pairings. Admission includes unlimited tastings of paella, beer, and wine.

San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon

When: Sunday May 31
Where: 6th Avenue & Quince Street, San Diego 92101
What: Rock out at the annual Rock N Roll Marathon! This 26.2 mile marathon and 13.1 mile half-marathon features live music lining the streets, cheer squads, and a huge post-marathon concert to end the race with a bang. Local bands will even be playing live music on various stages along the route – never a dull moment. With more than 20,000 runners and 100,000 enthusiastic spectators, this is definitely something to experience in San Diego.

  1. Guess you should warn about door policy – checked your blog as usually for a weekend activities and found Paella festival. Took the stroller and the kid, trying to park during 15 minutes, finally pound the spot, woke up kid, loaded the stroller out – came
    To the gates and found that it’s a presale event and all the tickets are already sold! nice(
