Head to Mission Trails Park, coastal Encinitas, or North Park for some of this weekend’s best events in San Diego! We’re loving this beautiful weather and can’t wait to get outside and check some of these out. Please be sure to check availability before attending any event, as some of them may sell out.

San Diego Taco Fest

When: Saturday May 21, 11am-10pm
Where: San Diego County Waterfront Park; 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego
What: The San Diego Taco Fest is a food, music, and cultural celebration of all that makes San Diego America’s Finest City! Twenty of the region’s best taco-centric restaurants will offer a wide range of mouthwatering taco creations. The day will be packed with musical performances including Sir Mix-A-Lot, El Vez and Todo Mundo. In between the musical performances, catch live Lucha Libre wrestling matches from Tijuana’s own Baja Stars!

Festival of the Arts & Craft Beer Block in North Park

When: Saturday May 21, 10am-10pm
Where: University Avenue & 30th Street, San Diego 92104
What: Spend the day with your family and friends exploring the historic North Park neighborhood at the 20th Annual SDCCU Festival of Arts! This annual free festival has grown into a local tradition that includes local art, live music and dance performances, vendor booths, and fabulous food. The little ones are also welcome – the Kids Art Block offers a variety of interactive activities. And come thirsty to the Craft Beer Block ($30) and sample brews from San Diego’s favorite breweries!

Explore Mission Trails Day

When: Saturday May 21, 9am-2pm
Where: Mission Trails Park; One Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego 92119
What: This outdoors event features something for everyone – free guided nature walks, talks and programs throughout the park, live animals, and special programs & demonstrations for kids. There will be free pony rides beginning at 9am until 2pm, but the line will close at 12:30 PM. The younger ones will enjoy a mini mountain bike track, a climbing wall, arts and crafts, and Discovery Stations at the East Fortuna Staging Area.

Foodie Fest Encinitas

When: Saturday May 21, 11am-4pm
Where: The Lumberyard; 937 S Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas 92024
What: The Foodie Fest is an annual event that features sustainable locally sourced food, artisanal products and premiere San Diego chef talent. This year’s festival will feature the best of North County’s culinary, artistic and musical talent in live demonstrations, performances, gourmet tastes, a Barefoot Bar, TV style chef competition, and kid’s activities. More than 30 restaurants are participating in this event and there will be fun for all!

Makers Arcade Spring Fair

When: Saturday May 21, 10am-5pm
Where: Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier; 1000 N Harbor Dr, San Diego 92101
What: Makers Arcade is a locally-based artisan experience where community and connection are enjoyed around a shared love for all types of creative ventures! From mMakers selling their handcrafted goods (jewelry, ceramics, clothing, home goods, and more) to live music, one-of-a-kind craft cocktails, and uniquely designed venues, Makers Arcade creates an inspirational environment. Local food trucks will be featured, and craft beer will be provided by Modern Times.
