San Diego Weekend Events | March 25 – 27

It’s Easter weekend in San Diego! There’s plenty to keep you busy (and it doesn’t have to be a brunch or an egg hunt). Check out what’s happening throughout the weekend. Be sure to check ticket availability prior to attending any event, as some of these events sell tickets quickly. 

Bikes & Beer SD

When: Saturday March 26, 10am-3pm
Where: Quartyard (1102 Market St.)
What: Ride through San Diego and enjoy delicious craft beer! Arrive at the registration area at Quartyard starting at 8:30am for full coffee service and music. The ride officially begins at 10am, when they’ll release groups of riders every few minutes. Crew will be on hand for repairs and the route will have signage; there will also be two pit stops. Once you have completed the course, return to the Quartyard’s fully staffed bar with 20+ taps, bicycle themed vendors, music, and food.

Mission Valley Craft Beer & Food Festival

When: Saturday March 26, 12pm-5pm
Where: Qualcomm Stadium (9449 Friars Rd)
What: A multitude of local breweries and distilleries will be participating along with some of San Diego’s best chefs for an afternoon that you won’t forget. MVCBF is an all-inclusive event – meaning your ticket includes unlimited sampling from every participating brewery, distillery and eatery. While you’re there, check out our own La Jolla Brewing Co! Both General Admission and VIP tickets include unlimited beverage and food tasters. Parking also included.

San Diego Electric Run

When: Saturday March 26, 7:30pm
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds (2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar)
What: Electric Run returns to San Diego recharged with heart-pumping music along the entire course, electric lights and lasers, five new dance party zones, Electrobands – an LED bracelet that automatically syncs with the music – and more eclectic features. Party your way through a vibrant atmosphere and cross the finish line to end their journey at an epic after party with a live DJ, light show, dance floor, and food & drink.

La Jolla Egg Hunt

Where: La Jolla Rec Center (615 Prospect St.)
When: Saturday March 26, 10am
What: Children ages 2-12 will get the chance to hunt for eggs in and around the Recreation Center! The egg hunt itself is free, while $5 includes a special meet-and-greet with Peter Rabbit, a goodie bag full of treats, face painting, and tons of arts and crafts options. Come out for a few hours to enjoy the sunshine and bring the whole family.

The Butterfly's World

Butterfly Jungle

When: Thru April 10, 9am-7pm
Where: San Diego Zoo Safari Park (15500 San Pasqual Valley Rd, Escondido)
What: This weekend is a great time to check out the Butterfly Jungle at the Zoo Safari Park! For a limited time only, experience more than 10,000 vibrant butterflies of all shapes and sizes. Walk through the jungle – if you’re lucky, one will land on you! – and take photos or identify different species using the provided butterfly identification guide.
