Summer is in full swing! There’s plenty of great weekend events in San Diego happening, from a beach-side clambake at the Hotel Del to a chili cook-off and an outdoor music festival in North County. We’ve got everything you need to know right here! Please be sure to check ticket availability prior to attending any event.

California Clambake

When: Fri June 24; 6:30pm-9:30pm
Where: Beach at Hotel Del Coronado; 1500 Orange Ave, Coronado
What: Settle into the sand for a classic California Clambake at Coronado Beach! Cozy up on communal tables and enjoy a shellfish feast at sunset featuring Executive Chef John Shelton’s fresh local favorites steamed, boiled and grilled. The seafood spread will be paired with a local beer or signature cocktail (cash bar also available) and live music. There will also be beach games and other activities!

Distilled: San Diego Spirits & Cocktail Festival

When: Sat June 25; 1pm-5pm
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds
What: San Diego is fast becoming an epicenter of personally crafted distilled spirits. Distilled honors the best distillers and mixologists throughout San Diego and beyond! Enjoy live music, educational presentations on the science behind distilling, featured food and spirits pairings, plus free admission to the Fair! Ticket prices vary.

Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cookoff 

When: Sat June 25; 10am-8pm
Where: Along Newport Avenue, San Diego 92107
What: The 37th Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off Festival is this weekend! Join more than 70,000 visitors for tasty festival nosh, art, beachfront entertainment, shopping and, more. The Chili Competition will feature more than two dozen tastings from amateur entrants competing for honors. Enjoy 5 stages of live music, “Artists Alley,” a beach-side beer garden, and a children’s area. Entry to the street fair is free!

Taste of Adams Avenue

When: Sun June 26; 11am-3pm
Where: Adams Ave, from University Heights to Kensington
What: The 16th annual Taste of Adams will feature over 40 restaurants, coffee houses, pubs, wine bars and unique eateries in one of San Diego’s hottest historic neighborhoods. Food lovers can access their favorite restaurants by foot, bike, or complimentary trolley service available along Adams Avenue. Shops and galleries will also be open along the Adams Ave business corridor that day.

Taste of Gaslamp

When: Sun June 26; 1pm-4pm
Where: Pocket Park; 410 Island Ave, San Diego 92101
What: On Sunday, the Gaslamp Quarter will be showcasing excellent dining, live music, art gallery, and retail options. GA tickets are $30 pre-sale and allow you to sample over 40 restaurants on a self-guided walking tour. VIP guests will get to savor the restaurant bites during the day plus get premier access to live artist demonstrations, live music, beer and wine samples, nightclub specials, unique museum tours, and discounts at local boutiques.

Summer Fun on the 101

When: June 25 & 26; 11:30am-8pm
Where: Leucadia Roadside Park; 860 N Coast Hwy 101, Leucadia 92024
What: The Leucadia 101 Main Street Association is proud to present the annual Summer Fun Musica Festival! Music starts at noon as Mattson 2, Peter Sprague, Nancarrow and seven other of San Diego’s finest musical acts give a free concert that’s open to the whole community. While music is the main fare, there will also be fun lawn activities, raffle prizes, kids art, hula-hoop contest and a beer garden with local brews by Port/Lost Abbey Brewing.
