Happy Father’s Day Weekend, San Diego! There are plenty of activities to keep you busy all weekend in the city, from Oysterfest to a wooden boat festival for Dad and a 5k through the San Diego County Fair. Don’t miss out on anything – here are our top 5 San Diego weekend events!

What: Beautiful bayside Marina Embarcadero North (behind Seaport Village) hosts the 7th Annual San Diego Oysterfest. Try Oysters of numerous varieties, fine foods from well known San Diego restaurants, full bars, beautiful weather and a superb musical lineup. This year’s lineup includes Thievery Corporation, Rebelution, and more.

Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds; 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar
What: It’s the 3rd annual SD County Fair 5K – an all-ages, all-access Behind The Scenes run/walk of the fair like you’ve never seen it before! Grab your friends and family, and register now to be a part of San Diego’s most celebrated tradition at the legendary Del Mar Fairgrounds. Your 5K entry includes 2 tickets to the Fair, exclusive event T-shirt, a free beer (21+), and more.
When: Saturday June 18; 10am-4pm
Where: San Diego Botanic Garden; 230 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas
What: A great activity day for the little ones! Come celebrate summer at the Hamilton Children’s Garden. Kids can wear fairy costumes or come just as they are. Create a fairy house, make fairy treasures, leave messages on the wishing bush, or shop in the Fairyland market. Be sure to bring your camera for a picture with the Fairy Princess. Pizza and cookies will be served. Activity tickets are $1 per piece.

Where: 400 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad
What: Join the community of Carlsbad on Saturday for a day of adventurous music and fun by the beach. Over 30 performers will take the stage at locations around the Village, plus there will be a beer garden, food trucks, an artisan market and much more. Where: Koehler Kraft Boat Yard; 2302 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego
What: A San Diego Father’s Day weekend tradition, the San Diego Wooden Boat festival provides a rare opportunity to view some of the most beautiful and well maintained wooden crafts up close. While this event features mostly well preserved vintage vessels, there are also plenty of new crafts. Festivities include live music, a galley, a variety of booths, activities for children, and a raffle with a large assortment of valuable items donated from local businesses.
