San Diego Festival of the Arts

When: June 11 & 12, 10am-5pm
Where: San Diego Waterfront Park; 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego 92101
What: What was previously the La Jolla Festival of the Arts has grown into a city-wide celebration that gathers nearly 200 artists in a bay view setting of original fine art, entertainment and delicious cuisines, complemented with fine wine and craft beer. San Diego Festival of the Arts garners critically acclaimed artists from around the country for an elegant and high quality showcase.

Tacos & Tequila Festival

When: Sat, June 11; 2pm-5pm
Where: Silo at Makers Quarter; 753 15th St, San Diego 92101
What: Come celebrate San Diego’s favorite things: beer and tacos! Fifteen local breweries will be serving complimentary samples of their iconic beers including some summer specialties and seasonals. Twelve of the best restaurants will be serving complimentary signature tacos. Guests will vote via a secret social media channel at the event, and the winning restaurant will get the great golden taco award!

San Diego Greek Festival

When: June 11-12, 11am-10pm
Where: St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 3655 Park Blvd, 92103
What: In over four decades, the St. Spyridon Community has established a reputation of serving the finest homemade Greek Foods and Pastries in all of California. Treat yourself to an enjoyable weekend with delicious Greek food, imported wine and beer, live Greek music and dancing.

Liberty Station’s Summer Block Party

When: Sat, June 11; 6pm-9pm
Where: 2640 Historic Decatur Rd #200, San Diego 92106
What: Celebrate Summer at Liberty Station’s Summer Block Party! Kick off the season with all-ages activities, sweet refreshments and complimentary bites from some of Liberty Station’s newly opened eateries and neighborhood favorites. Enjoy live entertainment, unique art demos from local galleries, a pop-up yoga class by Yoga Six, kid-friendly activities, a superhero movie night with Comickaze and much more.

San Marcos Rock, Blues, & BBQ Festival

When: Sat, June 11; 12pm-9pm
Where: Walnut Grove Park; 1950 Sycamore Drive, San Marcos 92069
What: More than twenty years ago, Dennis & Lorri Allen started their automotive business, Allen’s Wrench. After one year of growing success, they decided to show their appreciation to their customers. Dennis got his band together and Lorri brought out her BBQ and together they had a day of music & food for their customers. The day was such a success, that they decided to do this every year. After 15 years of holding their event in Allen’s Wrench parking lot, the Allens decided to join with the City of San Marcos and let their event grow.
