What: Love is in the air as the Vietnamese-American Youth Alliance presents the Spring of Love, a free city-wide Tet festival of games, prizes, food, and entertainment. For the New Year 2016, folks are celebrating the unifying love of the Vietnamese people, culture, and legacy. Visitors can wish for eternal love at the spectacular wishing tree, capture photos with a romantic photo set, or purchase roses for loved ones.

Where: Town & Country Resort and Convention Center; 500 Hotel Circle N., San Diego
What: The San Diego Comic Fest is the friendly comic convention with a casual atmosphere and an intimate scale that allows fans to mingle directly with professionals and exhibitors. Indulge your love of comics, science fiction, and films, and meet an outstanding array of professional creators. There will be panel discussions, guest programs, an artist alley, tabletop gaming, cosplay, exhibitor halls, and more.

Where: Finest City Improv; 4250 Louisiana St, San Diego
What: This yearly festival brings some of the top talent from all over the nation to both perform and teach right here in San Diego! The Third Annual San Diego Improv Festival returns, attracting improv enthusiasts from around the country. The festival will offer professional workshops, performances from a selection of hand-picked improv teams, and master classes from two of the most well-known improvisers. Headlining guests include Susan Messing and Rachel Mason.

What: The San Diego Pet Expo is perfect for the whole family – four-legged friends and all. Your pet can enjoy “spa treatments” from local groomers, sample delicious treats, and try on the latest in furry fashions; humans will enjoy interacting with top trainers and learning pet-care tips from animal welfare organizations. There will also be an agility demonstration, pet talent and costume shows, the popular pet/owner look-alike contest, and a showcase of adoptable dogs from local shelters.

Where: Tidelands Park; 1100 Orange Ave, Coronado
What: The 6th Annual Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is this Sunday! Register for the 10K as a couple or as an individual. Islander hand carved tikis will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category and for couples categories for the 10K & 5K; each participant will receive a finisher’s medal and t-shirt just for running. The course winds through Coronado along the Bay and boasts some of the best views of any race in Southern California.
