With Hanukkah already in full swing and Christmas quickly approaching, there is no shortage of busy days – lighten the load with some fun activities this weekend! 23rd Annual Rednose 5k Run/Walk
When: Friday Dec 19, 1pm-4pm
Where: Powerhouse Park; 1658 Coast Blvd, Del Mar 92014
What: The Red Nose Run was started by the Low and Slow Running Club of Del Mar and benefits two charities: Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and the Semper Fi Fund. During the past 22 years, Red Nose Run has raised over $219,000 for its causes. The Run raises money in two ways: a $75 entry fee to participate and contributions directly from businesses. After the Run, head over to the Poseidon Restaurant for refreshments, followed by door prizes, recognition of 5K race winners, raffle, live auction and presentation of funds to both charities. Pancake Breakfast With Santa
When: Saturday Dec 20, 9am-10:30am
Where: Loews Coronado Bay; 4000 Loews Coronado Bay Rd, Coronado 92118
What: Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast with Santa featuring three varieties of fluffy pancakes, eggs, golden hash browns, and savory breakfast meats. Don’t miss cookie decorating and classic holiday stories read by special guest, Food Network Star and New York Times Best-Selling Author, Melissa d’Arabian. Along with holiday cheer, make sure to bring your cameras and smartphones to capture lasting memories with Santa.
Moonglow Design Art Sale
When: Saturday Dec 20, 10am-4pm; party & live music from 6pm-10pm
Where: Moonglow Design Art Gallery; 5763 La Jolla Blvd, La Jolla 92037
What: Get your last minute Christmas gifts at the Moonglow Design Art Sale from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, then join other guests on the deck for a relaxing evening enjoying music, wine, cheese and refreshments from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Entertainment provided by James Clarkston.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
When: Saturday Dec 20, 8pm
Where: Belly Up Tavern; 143 S Cedros Ave, Solana Beach 92075
What: Who doesn’t love sporting the occasional hideous sweater during the holidays?! Come out to a benefit in support of Mama Sue’s Fight Against Brain Cancer. Don your ugliest Christmas or turtleneck sweater and enjoy some live music and drinks at the Belly Up in Solana Beach.

San Diego Bay Parade of Lights
When: Sunday Dec 21, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Where: San Diego Bay
What: Enjoy the second and last weekend of the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, an annual time-honored holiday tradition brought to San Diego by the boating community. The parade takes place on San Diego Bay with more than 80 boats decorated to this year’s theme, Children’s Stories. The parade will proceed from Shelter Island past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, and the Ferry Landing in Coronado. If you’re viewing the parade from land, try watching from the north and south ends of the Embarcadero, as well as the pathway along Coronado. Other excellent viewing points are the park behind Seaport Village, Harbor Island and Shelter Island.
