From a block party/street fair in Hillcrest to a dog-centric afternoon in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, this weekend is chock full of great events in San Diego! Where: Liberty Station; 2640 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego 92106
What: Celebrate art with a night out at Liberty Station! There will be a bunch of activities throughout the evening: the Fern Street Circus, open artist studios, galleries, and numerous new exhibits at the Women’s Museum of CA, New Americans Museum, Visions Art Museum and Casa Valencia Galeria. What: Celebrate the sights, sounds and flavors that make San Diego so unique at this awesome tasting event on the San Diego Bay. Farm to Bay is the only local fundraiser that takes place within a national wildlife refuge, set against the beautiful backdrop of San Diego Bay. Guests will get the chance to sample fine culinary delights from some of the hottest restaurants, breweries and wineries in the area and experience up-close animal encounters, live music, and an exciting live and silent auction.

What: Cardiff-by-the-Sea’s annual one-day street fair for dogs and dog lovers is back for its tenth year. The event is hosted by Cardiff 101 Main Street and is expected to draw 10,000 four-legged friends, their fans and family members. Watch or enter in 4 different dog contests, watch local musical talents, and hang out in the Lost Abbey beer garden with your four-legged friend.

What: Stay past sundown and dance with Hillcrest’s best DJ’s under the Hillcrest sign with CITYFEST NIGHT! CityFest takes place in the heart of Hillcrest and is a huge celebration of community spirit through music, arts, crafts, and food and attracts 150,000+ attendees each year. With a rich history of community and spirit, Hillcrest has much to celebrate – enjoy games, activities, over 250 vendors, live headliner music, a beer garden and tons more.

Where: Scripps Pier; 8648 Kennel Way, La Jolla 92037
What: Now in its 22nd year, the Luau & Legends of Surfing Invitational has become one of the most successful surfing fundraisers and donated nearly $7 million dollars to the UCSD Moores Cancer Center. The day begins with a surfing tournament; each of the sponsored teams will be paired with a surfing legend and vie for traditional trophies. Then the Luau begins, where guests can enjoy traditional Polynesian dancing and live music while dining at a tropical buffet; there will be a raffle as well as live and silent auctions throughout.
