Soak up the last few days of August with these San Diego weekend events – outdoor street fairs and an international film festival for the little ones. Summer isn’t over yet! As always please be sure to check *ticket availability prior to attending any event.

What: This year, the SDIKFF will screen over 100+ films from 30+ countries. With goals to promote positive educational impact on children and the youth, the San Diego International Kid’s Film Festival supports innovative films made by filmmakers from around the globe. In addition to the film screenings, the 2015 SDIKFF will host an Opening Night Gala, Culture Forums, Industrial Panel Discussions, and an Award Ceremony.

What: The Imperial Avenue Street Festival blends art and soul in one of San Diego’s most historic and unique neighborhoods and celebrates the rich history, arts and culture of the Greater Logan Heights community. Stroll around to the sounds of live music from multiple stages, browse 4 blocks of local artists’ work and crafts and enjoy gourmet food and beverages.

Where: Green Flash Brewery; 6550 Mira Mesa Blvd., San Diego 92121
What: For the 5th year in a row, Treasure Chest Fest will serve as a fundraiser for local breast cancer charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure San Diego. This year’s fest will be a tropical Hawaiian Luau theme and feature rare beer and cask creations, the national debut of Treasure Chest 2015 (an IPA brewed with tropical flavors), food pairings, plus numerous culinary demos and tasting areas. Each ticket holder will receive 10 beer tastings and 10 food pairings!

Where: Waterfront Park; 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego 92101
What: Brew & Food Festival is an immersive craft beer and culinary experience on San Diego’s beautiful waterfront. More than 70 independent breweries will supply specialties, seasonals, and some of your favorite craft beers while over 20 of the region’s finest culinary tastemakers will prepare gastropub-styled dishes. Festival proceeds will benefit San Diego Coastkeeper in their mission to protect and restore fishable, swimmable and drinkable waters in San Diego County.
When: Sunday August 30, 10am-5pm
Where: Along N. Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas 92024
What: Come out for LeucadiART Walk, a revival of the original 80’s art event in historic Leucadia! Local juried artists will display their original art in specified areas along Coast Highway 101 in Leucadia. There will be several stages set up for live music, live mural painting, a Children’s Art Pavilion for the kids, and a craft beer garden. More than 5,000 people turn out for this event, so don’t miss out.
