Art Alive

When: Fri April 29 – Sun May 1, 9am-5pm
Where: San Diego Museum of Art
What: Art Alive celebrates its 35th year with installations and events that take inspiration from the spring exhibition Brush and Ink, as well as the Museum’s exceptional collection of Asian art. See the Museum in full bloom at this signature fundraiser and annual floral exhibition with more than 100 floral interpretations of the Museum’s permanent collection. Designers will bring a new twist to an old Asian tradition with a Rotunda design encompassing the creativity and emotion embodied by the element of fire.

Hi Sweetheart Celebrates 2 Years

When: Sat April 30 & Sun May 1, 10am-6pm
Where: Hi Sweetheart; 7920 Ivanhoe Ave, La Jolla
What: Hi Sweetheart is celebrating 2 great years in La Jolla this weekend! Join in the party on Friday April 29th & Saturday April 30th, where you’ll get to enjoy sweet treats from Sugar & Scribe and bubbly drinks. Shop early for Mother’s Day with 20% off storewide.

Adams Avenue Unplugged

When: Sat April 30 & Sun May 1
Where: Along Adams Ave, from University Heights through Normal Heights
What: Adams Avenue Unplugged will feature 150 live musical performances staged inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses and galleries lining the neighborhood. Pairing the Avenue’s unique dining and drinking establishments, each with their own special ambiances and selections, with free musical performances, makes it an awesome celebration of this part of San Diego. Music is scheduled from 12-1pm on Saturday and 12-7pm on Sunday.

Depot Springs Appreciation Day

When: Sat April 30, 11am-4pm
Where: Harry Griffen Park Ampitheater; 9550 Milden St, La Mesa 91942
What: Join Depot Springs, an event space that will soon be transformed into 25,000 square feet of dining, an outdoor entertainment area and an onsite brewery,  for their first annual patron appreciation day! Enjoy food, craft vendors, live music, a Kid Zone with face painting and a bounce house, photo booths, and art sales. There will be food trucks and multiple bands playing live. The event is free.

Mission Federal ArtWalk

When: Sat April 30 & Sun May 1, 11am-6pm
Where: India St & W Date St, San Diego 92101
What:  ArtWalk returns to Little Italy for the 32nd annual celebration of San Diego’s rich arts and culture landscape. More than 300 fine artists will show and sell their work at this annual festival that brings every facet of visual and performing arts together. This year will feature more artists along India St to avoid construction elsewhere; KidsWalk will be in a new location at the corner of India and Beech Streets.
