We’ve rounded up the most exciting events happening in the city this weekend; from ArtAlive in Balboa Park to Adams Avenue Unplugged and the La Jolla Half Marathon, we’ve found seven San Diego weekend events you don’t want to miss out on. ArtAlive 2015

When: Friday April 24 – Sunday April 26
Where: San Diego Museum of Art; 1450 El Prado, San Diego 92112
What: In its 34th year, the Museum’s signature fundraiser and annual floral exhibition features more than 100 floral interpretations of famous works of art. Art Alive includes three days of events and brings the Museum’s permanent collection to life in a unique way. Museum members receive complimentary admission!

Adams Avenue Unplugged

When: Saturday April 25 & Sunday April 26
Where: Adams Avenue, from University Heights on the West through Normal Heights
What: Adams Avenue Unplugged takes place along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue. The event will feature 150 live musical performances staged inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses and galleries lining the neighborhood and on four community stages evenly spread out throughout the district.

45th Annual Chicano Park Day Celebration

When: Saturday April 26, 10am-5pm
Where: Chicano Park; Logan Av & Cesar E Chavez Parkway, San Diego 92113
What: Celebrate the Park’s 45th year! Experience traditional music and dance, including a beautiful performance of Aztec Indigenous dance and ballet folklorico troupes, live bands, and speakers. The celebration will also include a display of classic lowrider cars, a kids art workshop, various informational booths, and food, arts and crafts vendors.

Encinitas Street Fair

When: Saturday April 25 & Sunday April 26, 9am-5pm
Where: South Coast Hwy 101 between D and J Streets, Encinitas 92024
What: Enjoy over 450 unique food, arts and crafts vendors plus four entertainment stages, children’s rides, Dog Zone, Kids Zone, bike valets, and a Beer Garden. Take advantage of free family fun, entertainment, a National Award Winning Main Street and a traditional So-Cal beach town.

San Diego Kids Expo & Fair

When: Saturday April 25 & Sunday April 26, 10am-5pm
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds; 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar 92014
What: The San Diego Kids Expo & Fair is part businesses and non-profits on display, part fun fair and part music and dance festival. And definitely all kids! There will be 4 different stages of entertainment, a fun fair with tons of great things to do, and 150 local & national companies that will be showcasing just-for-kids products.

2015 La Jolla Half Marathon

When: Sunday April 26, 7:30am
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds;  2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar 92014
What: The La Jolla Half Marathon is one of America’s most picturesque and beautiful point-to-point races. Starting at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, the course follows a scenic coastal route before reaching the challenging climb to the summit of Torrey Pines State Park. After leaving the park, the course rolls atop Torrey Pines mesa, continues down through the residential district of La Jolla Shores, and finishes in Ellen Browning Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove.

Mission Federal ArtWalk

When: Sunday April 26, 11am-6pm
Where: India St & W Date St., San Diego 92101
What: Mission Federal ArtWalk, the largest fine art festival in Southern California, is a 17-block celebration in the lively neighborhood of Little Italy in San Diego. Founded by local artists, Mission Federal ArtWalk has become a showcase for established and emerging artists and the ultimate event for aficionados and casual collectors. These one-of-a-kind collectibles are available for purchase directly from the artist with an expected price range of $50 to over $15,000.
