What: Enjoy two of San Diego’s best known exports – music and craft beer! Hang out and enjoy the sunshine while sampling a diverse selection of craft beer (Modern Times, Ballast Point, Societe, and Lagunitas are just a few) and watching local musical acts perform onstage. Hosted by the San Diego Music Foundation & San Diego CityBeat. Tickets are $45.

What: Indulge in exotic flavors and delight the palate during the 15th Annual Taste of Hillcrest! Take a self-guided culinary tour of more than 40 restaurants in a walk that spans more than 12 blocks. Peruse the streets and take in the sights and sounds of Hillcrest, while selecting from fresh seafood, sushi, spicy Thai, delicious pastas and feel-good classics during the tastiest event this season. Save room for thirst-quenching options from local microbreweries and special sweets from a wide range of Hillcrest eateries!

Where: Orange Ave & 6th St, Coronado 92118
What: The Coronado Flower Show is held annually on the third weekend of April in Spreckels Park in the center of Coronado’s Village and is the largest tented flower show in the nation. Exhibits are placed inside tents surrounding a central gazebo, which becomes the stage for continuous entertainment, announcements and trophy presentations. Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are free.

Where: E Alvarado St & S Main Ave, Fallbrook 92028
What: The Avocado Festival has been going since the 1960s, and every year people from all over still come to sample avocados, check out the crazy cooking contest entries, buy funky avocado-themed gifts and enjoy bands, live entertainment and beer gardens. There are a ton of craft and food booths as well as exhibitions showcasing local talent. If you love avocados, you won’t want to pass this up!
When: Sunday April 19, 10am-5pm
Where: All over Balboa Park; 1549 El Prado, San Diego
What: The annual EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world! Each year, the EarthFair draws around 60,000 visitors. The 26th annual EarthFair will feature more than 300 exhibitors, special theme areas, a Food Pavilion, a special Children’s Activity Area, five entertainment venues, the Children’s Earth Parade, the eARTh Gallery art show, and the Cleaner Car Concourse.
