A world-famous car show, a wine festival, and the 7th annual Taste of Julian are just a few of the things happening this weekend. We’ve rounded up our favorite San Diego weekend events for your viewing pleasure – happy Friday!

11th Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance

When: Saturday April 11 & Sunday April 12, 9am-4pm
Where: Ellen Browning Scripps Park, La Jolla
What: The La Jolla Concours d’Elegance features various types of fine automobile gems. Past years have showcased horseless carriages, Italian marques, British marques, Woodies, 50’s classics, American sports cars, and the automobiles of Carroll Shelby. This year, the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance will be Celebrating Coachbuilt Classics of the 30s and 40s.

VinDiego Wine & Food Festival

When: Friday April 10 & Saturday April 11
Where: NTC Liberty Station; 2875 Dewey Road, San Diego 92106
What: The 3rd Annual VinDiego Wine and Food Festival is a true wine connoisseur’s delight. Sip, swirl and savor a selection of over 200 handcrafted wines from top tier wineries. GA tickets include a crystal souvenir wine glass, unlimited tastes of award winning wines, and a variety of gourmet appetizers, along with tasty cheeses, artisan breads, and olive oils.

Free Public Tour of Scripps Oceanography

When: Saturday April 11, 10-11am
Where: 8622 Kennel Way, La Jolla 92037
What: Founded in 1903, Scripps is one of the oldest and most prestigious marine and earth sciences research institutions in the world. Join a 1-hour public tour, led by knowledgeable volunteer guides who will be explaining the most notable features of the campus. Tours are free but registration is required; a map and tour details will be sent with confirmation of your registration.

7th Annual Taste of Julian

When: Saturday April 11, 1pm-5pm
Where: 2129 Main Street, Julian 92036
What: Taste of Julian is a self-guided culinary tour to explore several of our one-of-a-kind restaurants, wineries and breweries. Tickets are $20 per person in advance. Tickets purchased online will be available for pick up the day of the event at the Julian Town Hall, corner of Hwy 78 & Main Street. Tickets will also be available the day of the event at the Julian Town Hall for $25.

San Diego Botanic Garden ArtFest

When: Sunday April 12, 9am-5pm
Where: San Diego Botanic Garden; 230 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas 92024
What: The San Diego Botanic Garden presents a delightful combination of fine art shows, Quick Draw Contest, art demonstrations, and an Asian Art Show! The Fine Art Show will feature over 20 artists who will be showing and selling their work including sculptors, painters, glass artists, potters, and gourd and fiber artists. The Quick Draw contest will feature 20 artists who will be creating an entire work in an allotted time right before your eyes. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event!
