Wine lovers, unite! Get ready for a two-day extravaganza of gourmet food, wine tasting, and music. Join fellow wine enthusiasts Saturday, April 26 & Sunday, April 27 from 1-5pm at the beautiful Del Mar Fairgrounds for the 3rd annual San Diego International Wine Show, a unique showcase of some of the best wines from around the world.
The San Diego Wine Show has gone international! The show’s inaugural two years focused solely on California reds and whites, but this year the exhibit has expanded its horizons. Attendees will get the unique opportunity to taste red and white wines from hundreds of local AND international wineries, including featured vintages from places like Spain, Chile, Argentina, France, South America, and Baja.
Certified Sommeliers Charlie Plummer of Jackson Family Fine Wines and Hilarie Larson (Certified Specialist Of Wine 2012) will give educational talks and question and answer sessions, including seminars on “Blind Tasting Secrets Of The Sommelier” and There’s No Place Like Rhone.” Sip on delicious red and white vintages while chatting with highly acclaimed experts to learn about wine paring, wine making, and much more; there will be something for amateur drinkers and expert connoisseurs alike!
Soak up the Southern California sunshine while being serenaded with live music, or relax under one of the big tents to watch creative cooking demos. There will also be plenty of samples from renowned chefs and food enthusiasts.
And if none of that catches your fancy, there will be a full buffet provided complete with cigars, olive oil, cheeses, chocolates and other gourmet bites picked out specially to complement the vast variety of wines on hand. What better place to learn how to pair your favorite cheese with a delicious red wine? Additionally, the fairgrounds’ famous restaurant 17 Hands will be open throughout the entire festival – guaranteeing that nobody goes hungry!
