Saturday, Nov. 23rd
Friendsgiving Sun Printing Artisan Workshop
12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Inn at Rancho Santa Fe
Enjoy a day of art, food and wine at this workshop at Inn at Rancho Santa Fe where you’ll learn about cyanotypes, the foundation of printmaking and photography. The Sun Printing Artisan Workshop will be led by Describe the Fauna, and attendees will each leave with a set of hand-crafted prints. A “Friendsgiving” lunch, two glasses of wine, the workshop and parking is included in your ticket.
Park Beautification Crew
8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Mission Trails Regional Park
Spend part of your Saturday volunteering at Mission Trails, where a crew will help beautify the park through several projects like pruning brush, spreading mulch, picking up litter and cleaning up the riverbed. Tools, snacks and ice water will be provided; if you want to bring your own work gloves, even better. RSVP by calling (619) 668-3201.
Sunday, Nov. 24th
Encinitas Holiday Street Fair
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Downtown Encinitas
More than 450 unique food, arts and crafts vendors will headline the Encinitas Holiday Street Fair this Sunday in the heart of the laid-back beach town. The free, family-friendly fest also includes live music from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., plus a dog-friendly beer garden. There will be no parking on Highway 101 from D to J streets during the event, so plan accordingly.your own mat.
Guided Nature Walk
9:30 a.m., Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to get outside! Take a free guided 1.5 hour nature walk from Mission Trails Regional Park. Along the way you’ll learn about animals, plants, and history of this park in San Diego.
