San Diego and La Jolla Weekend Events: November 16th & 17th

Fall season is upon us, and this weekend is packed with events. So what are you waiting for? Make your plans now! There’s something for everyone!


Saturday, Nov. 16th

Photos With Santa at Seaport Village
11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Seaport Village
Santa Claus is in. The jolly man himself begins his photo sessions at the landmark along San Diego’s waterfront this Saturday, where he’ll listen to Christmas wishes and pose with little ones from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you can’t make it this Saturday, don’t fret. Santa Claus will be taking photos at Seaport Village on select days through Dec. 24, just check the Seaport Village website for dates and times.

San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival: The Grand Tasting
12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Embarcadero Marina Park North
Each year, the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival shines the spotlight on top-notch Southern California chefs and beer and wine purveyors through a series of tasty events. The festival culminates with the Grand Tasting, a foodie party on the downtown San Diego waterfront featuring bites from more than 60 chefs and restaurants, plus wine and craft beer samples. At $145 a pop, tickets to this event are certainly a splurge, but for food enthusiasts it may just be worth it.

Sunday, Nov. 17th

Yoga + Mimosa Mornings
9 a.m., Windmill Food Hall (Carlsbad)
Namaste right here… after a couple mimosas. Enjoy a Sunday morning yoga session at the brand-new Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad led by a certified instructor. Afterward, 21+ participants can enjoy a mimosa at the foodie-friendly attraction. This class costs $5; bring your own mat.

Guided Nature Walk
9:30 a.m., Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to get outside! Take a free guided 1.5 hour nature walk from Mission Trails Regional Park. Along the way you’ll learn about animals, plants, and history of this park in San Diego.
