San Diego and La Jolla Weekend Events: 4/27 & 4/28

The weather is perfect, and this weekend is packed with events. So what are you waiting for? Make your plans now! There’s something for everyone!


Saturday, April 27th:

La Mesa Earth Day Festival
10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Harry Griffen Park
Come celebrate Earth Day with a free community festival at Harry Griffen Park in La Mesa Saturday. The fest will include STEM activities, interactive booths, a trail ride, vendors and more.

Adams Avenue Unplugged
12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Adams Avenue (From west University Heights through Normal Heights)
This free music festival goes along a 2-mile stretch of Adams Avenue and brings 80 performances across 24 stages inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses in San Diego. The festival will go from west University Heights into Normal Heights and parts of Kensington to the east. Parking is going to be tricky, so it’s strongly advised to take public transit into the neighborhood and walking the route, if you’re able.

Sunday, April 7th:

Gaslamp Artisan Market
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fifth Avenue
Go check out the new Gaslamp Quarter’s Fifth Avenue between Market Street and Island Avenue and let us know what you think! Pop through different restaurants and shops, and explore the new exciting area!

Guided Nature Walk
9:30 a.m., Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to get outside! Take a free guided 1.5 hour nature walk from Mission Trails Regional Park. Along the way you’ll learn about animals, plants, and history of this park in San Diego.
