Fall season is upon us, and this weekend is packed with events. So what are you waiting for? Make your plans now! There’s something for everyone!

Saturday, Nov. 1st 

Trout Opening Weekend
6 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday), Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve
Gone fishin’! Santee Lakes has been stocked with 4,000 pounds of rainbow and lightning trout for this weekend’s big opener. The fish are tagged; the five largest trout caught over the weekend will win prizes. Parking costs $6, while fishing permits run between $6 and $10.

San Diego Beer Week 2019 Guild Fest
11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Embarcadero Marina Park North
San Diego Beer Week’s biggest event – the 2019 Guild Gest – hits downtown’s waterfront this Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival features 100+ samples from 60+ local, independent craft breweries. Food vendors will be at the event selling snacks. General admission (with entry at 2p.m.) costs $50 and includes a keepsake cup. Cheers!

Sunday, Nov. 2nd

Yoga + Mimosa Mornings
9 a.m., Windmill Food Hall (Carlsbad)
Namaste right here… after a couple mimosas. Enjoy a Sunday morning yoga session at the brand-new Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad led by a certified instructor. Afterward, 21+ participants can enjoy a mimosa at the foodie-friendly attraction. This class costs $5; bring your own mat.

Guided Nature Walk
9:30 a.m., Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to get outside! Take a free guided 1.5 hour nature walk from Mission Trails Regional Park. Along the way you’ll learn about animals, plants, and history of this park in San Diego.
