Puesto Celebrates 4th Anniversary with Free Street Tacos

Hard to believe that Puesto is already turning four this year, but they’ll be celebrating in a big way – on Wednesday, February 10, both of their locations (La Jolla and Headquarters) will be cooking up and giving away fresh pastor tacos street-side starting at 4:30pm!

Puesto opened its brick storefront in La Jolla in early 2012; since then, the taco spot has expanded with a new downtown location at the Headquarters (2014) and revamped its original space in the Village. What began as the modest brainchild of two Mexican-American brothers, Eric and Alan Adler, has become something of an icon in the taco industry over the few years. Colorful branding, fresh and high quality ingredients, a farm-to-table approach to cooking, and new twists on classic recipes all hand-crafted by chef Luis Gonzalez, have combined to make a truly world-class establishment.

Puesto’s dedication to farm-to-table cuisine shines with their fresh hand-made tortillas, scratch salsas, all-natural meats, sustainable seafood and local greens. They offer a variety of goodies in addition to the three-for-$14 tacos; salads, antojitos (Mexican tapas), ceviches, moles, tostadas and bowls. Al Pastor will be the taco-du-jour this Wednesday – a mouthwatering combo of crispy melted cheese, hibiscus and chipotle tinga, avocado, and piña habanero pico.

Scratch margaritas, Palomas, and seasonal Aguas Frescas are served up courtesy of a craft bar program led by San Diego’s champion mixologists Queen, Conner, and Ward.

Don’t miss out on free street tacos and a chance to celebrate with the Puesto team in La Jolla and the Headquarters this Wednesday. Visit eatpuesto.com for more information.
