As the weather turns cold and the holidays approach, the school year is gaining momentum. Education is a crucial factor in any child’s development and a strong concern for parents. Before the shopping craze of late November takes over, parents should be mindful of perspective schools available for their children in the 2014-2015 school year.
Whether its a toddler’s creative development or a 12-year-olds best college preparatory track, the community of La Jolla has numerous private school options for parents. Blue Book has an extensive list of La Jolla’s best private schools that can help parents do some online research. This can give anyone a taste of each school’s mission statement, but open houses provide a much better space to explore potential schools and get a sense of their educational styles.
Beth Israel Pre-School is having an open house for perspective families tomorrow Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9:30-10:30am in the Rotunda Conference room (3rd Floor). Interested parties will be able to tour the school and meet Sandy Sherman, the ECE Director.
The school concentrates its efforts on creating a positive environment for learning fostering academic learning by including instruction in the arts, allowing play and giving lots of personal attention with low teacher to student ratios. Registration is open November 5th for current students and opens November 12th for new students. Call (601) 956-6216 with any questions or to schedule a tour.
