Pillage the Village: Trick or Treat in La Jolla on October 31

pillage the village 2016From 3pm-6pm on Monday, October 31 this year, join fellow La Jollans for a favorite annual tradition: Pillage the Village, hosted by the La Jolla Village Merchants Association! Walk around the Village in full costume as the little ones trick-or-treat along the avenues of La Jolla at participating local merchants.

La Jolla merchants are already loading up on candy in anticipation of the 6th annual Pillage the Village, and this year there are more sponsors than ever. Each participating business will be designated by orange and black balloons outside, so be sure to look everywhere.

After your ghostly costume walk, head to La Plaza La Jolla (7863 Girard Avenue) for treats, a ghoulish photo booth, a big pumpkin display, and a pumpkin carving contest. REBA (908 Kline St.) will be providing trick-or-treat bags as well as hosting a special Costume Contest. Be sure to keep a lookout for any witches and goblins you see milling around – they’ll be in search of the best costume winners! Prizes include gift certificates to REBA and Geppetto’s.
