The Patio on Lamont Street Gets a Fresh Look

The Patio on Lamont Street recently underwent a ‘mini facelift’ and received a fresh look to supplement its already unique atmosphere. While the popular neighborhood eatery was closed for approximately 10 days, the Patio team was hard at work finishing the new upgrades and additions. The La Jolla Blue Book took an exclusive tour of the newly upgraded Patio on Lamont.

One of the first things visitors will notice is the newly constructed sitting area located in the front of the restaurant underneath the ‘neighborhood tree’. The beautifully crafted wood sitting area is the perfect spot to grab a cocktail and wait for your table to be ready. A second seating area has also been added in the upstairs loft of the restaurant. The new black corner booth has been installed which gives guests a romantic and cozy dining space.

A new feature that is not yet viewable to restaurant goers, is the new garden wall situated behind the main bar. Eventually this area will be accessible to diners, but in the meantime, you can sample a variety of the herbs grown in the garden by ordering a drink off of the new garden cocktail menu.

Other unique features to the restaurant include colorful artwork inspired by local landmarks and vintage signs throughout the restaurant with words such as, “Patio”, “Bar”, & “Beer”. The restaurant also features two very unique tables – one table uses wood from a reclaimed Torrey Pines tree, and the other uses wood from a fallen Redwood tree that Kate Sessions planted 100 years ago at the world fair. Diners will also be happy to learn that the Patio has installed an espresso machine, giving the ability to now serve cappuccinos, lattes, and more.

The changes to the restaurant have also inspired new additions to the menu. In addition to the garden cocktail menu, the Patio now features Meatless Mondays with dishes such as white bean & baby kale salad, seared risotto cake, and heirloom tomato salad. Other additions to the regular menu include duck sausage spaghetti, “pappardelle” summer squash, charred asparagus, and roasted eggplant with a Greek yogurt dip.

The Patio on Lamont Street is located at 4445 Lamont Street, San Diego, CA 92109 and is open daily from 9:00AM to midnight. Join them for happy hour from 3:00PM to 6:00PM, or their monthly wine dinners. Share with us your thoughts on the new upgrades by commenting below!
