Explore the La Jolla Cultural Zone from the inside out. Now in its second year, this open house-style event invites you to, explore, and get an up-close look at La Jolla’s cultural heritage and historic architecture. This event is free and open to the public, participants are invited to step inside the buildings that make the Cultural Zone so special.

The Bishop’s School
The Bishop’s School was founded by Ellen Browning Scripps in 1909. Visitors will tour the newly dedicated Manchester Library & Learning Center and learn about the School’s historic architecture.
The Cuvier Club
The historic Cuvier Club, an original USO Hall recently voted San Diego’s #1 Event Venue on the A-List, will be offering tours and tasty delights provided by the equally famous Abbey Catering Co.
La Jolla Historical Society
Tour Wisteria Cottage and the grounds. Discuss the history of La Jolla with docents and view the exhibition Home of Your Dreams: La Jolla 1887 through the 1920s.
La Jolla Presbyterian Church
Built in 1928, the LJPC Sanctuary features breathtaking architecture and gorgeous stained glass. Come hear inspiring music from the 51-rank Moller organ and a presentation on the building and windows.
La Jolla Woman’s Club
Enjoy tours of the historic Irving Gill building donated by Ellen Browning Scripps, along with music and light refreshments.
Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego
Take advantage of free museum admission during the hours of Open Doors La Jolla, and enjoy exhibition tours of Behold, America! Art of the United States from Three San Diego Museums at noon and 2 PM.
St. James by-the-Sea
Learn about the church’s history, architecture, stained glass windows, and more. Enjoy a performance on the 60-rank Austin pipe organ, and visit the award-winning St. James Gift & Book Shop.
