If you’re staying at one of the top hotels in La Jolla, skip the rental car as many attractions in La Jolla are in walking distance of each other, especially around the scenic La Jolla Cove. Major streets like the La Jolla Parkway and Mission Boulevard make reaching and navigating the community fairly simple while public bus services are also readily available.
Start your La Jolla adventure bright and early at the resplendent La Jolla Cove along the Pacific Ocean waterfront. From there, head over to the Cave Store and take a brief tour of a beautiful seaside cavern open to the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards, explore the acclaimed Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego La Jolla, one of the most renowned contemporary art museums in the region. Once you’ve had your cultural fill, sit down for a leisurely lunch at one of the area’s top cafes, restaurants or bistros scattered about.

Finally, end your day at either the Scripps Pier or the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve to catch a glimpse of the spectacular sunset over the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
