Besides the beer, what makes Oktoberfest a popular festival around the world is the music. You might have heard the saying, “music connects us all,” and it’s never been truer than during Oktoberfest. It creates the lively ambiance that gets people on their feet after a few cold ones, toasting and dancing and spinning their partners around, while singing in unison.
The 18th Annual Encinitas Oktoberfest will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 and it wouldn’t be a traditional European event without The Bluebirds German-American Band performing. The Bluebirds are bringing Germany to Encinitas.
The band will be opening the parade and will continue to play from 10:30am to 4:30pm on stage in the family tent. They will be singing genuine German songs as well as conducting traditional and modern dance competitions.
The Bluebirds cover all styles of music from German Oktoberfest music, to Latin music and Rock ‘n’ Roll. The power of the Bluebirds show band will keep you on your feet throughout the evening. So make sure to put on your dancing shoes and come out to this family-friendly festival. Just don’t get caught with an empty mug!
